The more bizarre thing is the Lucy Van Pelt esque help desk manned by the cute white haired dark skinned woman.::

Those all sound scary, I would probably need a... bodyguard of a more supernatural bent." She crosses her arms.

"SAI has been good, but not quite on answering some, ah... burning questions."

I am not sure where you could find one for hire. And SAI isn't meant for such deep scholarship, they're more. Public relations.

"Ay, I am finding this out. Is a better resource than nothing in my situation, but I'd like to not have to find equally scary people for protection in asking scary people for information.

Then the answer is to make yourself scary.

But you can be.

Though the getting there typically on experience requires a series of comical coincidences and a conga-line of trauma. So it might not be recommended.
